Structure and properties
The components of various inks include, for example (selection):
- Shellac, carnauba wax
- Dyes: iron oxides, indigocarmine, titanium dioxide.
- Solvent, propylene glycol
- Ammonium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide
Fields of application
For the labeling of medicines, mainly for tablets and capsules. The labeling is used, for example, for identification, differentiation, dose indication and marketing purposes.
