We tap along the course of the triceps surae muscle and look at the course. This has its origin at the hollow of the knee and goes down to the heel bone. For this reason, if there are complaints of the Achilles tendon, we take the middle of the heel as our starting point and end just below the hollow of the knee.

At the heel bone, the kinesiotape is divided into two halves, separated and pulled upwards. The length of the strip is exactly the distance between the heel and the hollow of the knee. The strip may also be slightly shorter, as the kinesiotape is pulled before application.

We need two pieces of it, with the same length. The corners of the ends are cut off and shaped in a curve. This way the Kinesiotape holds better and stays longer on the skin.

We take the first strip and pull it apart in the middle so that the paper separates in the middle. But the paper is not yet removed. It will be torn into two parts at first.

The tips of the feet are then pulled towards the nose so that the muscle and the Achilles tendon are stretched. We only ever tap while pre-stretching the muscles. For the raising we should mention that at the end on the kinesiotape, only small folds should be present.

This is not to be confused with wrinkles that have been created by the application. Such small folds act during a movement, like a massage on the skin. And they only appear after the muscle has been loosened again after pre-stretching.

The paper is peeled off on one side and the free end is glued to the middle of the heel. Then they rub the kinesiotape on the skin and bring the remaining strip under tension. After stretching the strip, they apply it along the muscle. You go from the middle of the heel to the heel bone and rub the kinesiotape again on the spot.

Then they pull off the remaining paper and bring the strip under tension again. Then stretch the remaining piece of tape until just below the hollow of the knee. Also the last section, they bring with the fist under friction.

The strip runs through the middle of the calf muscles. The second strip is divided into two more halves. However, it is not completely separated, but they still leave about seven centimeters free.

This creates a head with two legs, which is attached to the beginning and only serves as a fixation. Also with the two legs of the strip, the ends are cut again and formed into a curved shape. You tear the paper at the beginning of the two legs apart.

In any case, the head of the strip is glued to the middle of the heel on the already applied kinesiotape and brought back under friction. The tips of the feet are pulled up towards the nose and the muscles are bared again in stretching. Now we remove the paper and put the kinesiotape under tension.

The one leg of the cut-through kinesiotape is attached to the outside along the calf muscles until just below the hollow of the knee. The same happens with the other leg. Only this time along the inside of the calf muscles.

Now we have a strip that goes through the middle of the calf and two thinner strips that go up to the knee in an arc on the right and left. But we are not finished yet. Another strip is taken.

This one is much smaller than the previous ones. The length is the distance between the inner and outer ankle. The ends are also cut off here and shaped into a curve.

Again the paper is torn apart in the middle and stretched again. Finally, we apply it over the heel bone, horizontally between the inner and outer ankle. Here too, friction is applied to the kinesiotape.
