Interactions
If you are already taking other medications, you should always consult a doctor for advice. The effect of Tramal can interfere with the mechanism of other medications, for example, by prolonging or shortening their duration of action. The effect of the Tramal can also be influenced by other drugs.
Thus, pain relief can be reduced under certain circumstances. If taken at the same time as antiepileptic drugs, the risk of side effects may increase. A restriction of respiratory activity up to cardiac arrest can occur when Tramal® and other drugs that have a dampening effect on brain function are taken simultaneously.Such drugs include certain other painkillers, sleeping pills, but also cough suppressants.
Taking blood-thinning medication can increase the risk of heavy bleeding. Here you should discuss with your doctor the exact dosage of Tramal. Other interactions can occur when combined with antidepressants. You should never take Tramal® in combination with alcohol. Alcohol can unpredictably influence the effect of Tramal.
