Making Masks and Packs Yourself

Everything that the stomach can tolerate is also good for our skin. In this article, I would like to tell them a series of masks that they can put together themselves in the supermarket or refrigerator. All these masks are not expensive in any way, because you only need very small amounts that are produced or available in the household.

Basics of masks and packs

Before applying the mask, the face must be thoroughly cleaned. For these masks and packs, to do this, take a small mask bowl and a flat brush and stir the spread. When I talk about the basics, I mean grated almonds, healing clay, oat flour, oatmeal, wheat bran or wheat germ and bean flour. I advise them to always keep a small supply of these on hand. They can decide for themselves which base they want to choose. But never take starch flour, it swells too much and expands the pores.

Preparations of face masks

Before we apply the masks, we need to clean our face thoroughly. In the case of dry or old skin, before applying the mask, be sure to massage fat cream, especially around the eye areas that will not be covered by the mask. For large-pored, oily skin, the mass can be applied immediately after cleansing. The packs and masks always remain on the face for fifteen to twenty minutes. During this time, lie down and cover the eyes with three-percent boric water compresses. If the skin is dry, it is good to wash off the packs or masks with milk. Packs are best made from fruits and their pulp, while juices are more suitable for masks. If we don’t have fresh fruit, we can use juices from the supermarket all year round. But now I finally want to tell them the mask recipes. The amount, one teaspoon full of foundation, about one tablespoon full of juice, is always for one mask or pack.

Lemon mask

These masks are especially suitable for young people. They have an astringent, cleansing and circulatory effect. They are also recommended for large-pored and oily skin. Mix a tablespoon of lemon juice with some foundation, and the mask is ready to spread. For older people, it is recommended to mix in a hazelnut-sized piece of fat cream to prevent the skin from drying out too much.

Melon mask

The mashed flesh of the melon mixed with a little foundation makes a very refreshing mask, which has a contracting effect due to the fruit acid.

Grape currant gooseberry mask

Mix the crushed fruit pulp with foundation and get a cleansing and refreshing spread. Unripe currants whiten similarly to lemons.

Strawberry mask

Mash a large strawberry or two and mix with some cream and foundation. However, if you are sensitive to strawberries, do not use this mask. Cherries, apples and apricots, peaches and raspberries can also be used to make masks. You always mix the fruit pulp with some foundation and improve it with cream, honey and some fat cream.

Cereal mask

Many eat the muesli made of oatmeal or wheat germ with fruit, yogurt and nuts every morning. Branch off some of it for their face from time to time, and they will look refreshed and radiant. Let this mask dry and rub it off with circular movements. Afterwards, rinse the face with milk.

Coconut milk mask

Coconut milk mixed with foundation makes a soothing and mattifying mask that is tolerated by all skin types.

Carrot Radish Pumpkin Mask

Carrots, radish or pumpkin are grated and mixed with about 10 drops of lemon juice and some foundation. We get a very vitamin-rich mask that specifically contains skin-protective vitamin A. The carrot juice also tints the skin brown.

Tomato mask

A peeled tomato is crushed, mixed with foundation and applied. This mask has a tanning and mattifying effect due to its acidity.

Mask or pack of raw potatoes.

Grated potatoes are applied thickly on the face. If you make raw potato dumplings or potato pancakes, you should branch off some mass for cosmetics. With the leftover potato water is very good to wash your face, we all know how clean and soft hands look after rubbing potatoes.A similar effect is achieved by rubbing the face with thick potato slices in the course of the cleavage lines.

Pack or mask of boiled potatoes.

Mash two to three boiled potatoes, add a little milk and egg yolk and heat the mixture in a water bath. It is spread on the face quite hot, after making a heat test on the pulse. You can also use ready mashed potatoes. As you know, potatoes are also used for healing compresses. For cosmetics, they give blood circulation-enhancing, smoothing and cleansing packs and masks.

Sauerkraut pack

You spread the sauerkraut all over your face or rub vigorously with it. This treatment is especially recommended for large-pored, oily skin. You can do it several times a week. Sauerkraut cleanses and has a wonderful astringent effect on pores.

Herbal mask

Parsley, sorrel, tarragon, lovage, watercress and other herbs can be cradled together and brewed with hot milk and, mixed with some foundation, make a refreshing, circulation-boosting mask. Parsley applied alone will make reddened noses and too red cheeks pale. From dried herbs such as chamomile, sage, arnica, fennel, etc., you can make healing and smoothing masks by brewing the herbs, letting them steep and mixing them with healing clay.

Cucumber mask

It is very easy to make a paste from the flesh and juice of cucumber, which can be applied to the face and neck. Rubbing the skin with cucumber peels is popular and well-known. They refresh, cleanse and smooth. I hope that with this article I have given you the impetus to treat your face with fresh fruits in the future. Try it now for yourself. Finally, a little tip for on the go: you can quickly refresh your face with a few cucumber peels, apple slices of a strawberry or a few grapes. The fruits dry a little and are rinsed off later. You will be pleased with the effect yourself.
