The following curative measures can be used postoperatively for a mouth-antrum connection (MAV):
Counseling/education
- The patient should be educated about the symptoms of an oral-antral junction and motivated to actively cooperate.
General measures
- Behavioral instructions postoperatively (10 days):
- Nose blowing ban
- Sneezing with open mouth
- Decongestant measures (nasal drops, inhalation).
