Paleness: Diagnostic Tests

Obligatory medical device diagnostics

Optional medical device diagnostics – depending on the results of the medical history, physical examination and mandatory laboratory parameters – for differential diagnostic clarification.

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG; recording of the electrical activity of the heart muscle) – for suspected cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure (cardiac insufficiency), myocardial infarction (heart attack), myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle).
  • Computed tomography (CT; sectional imaging procedure (X-ray images from different directions with computer-based evaluation)) – for suspected neoplasms or tumor diseases.
  • Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI; computer-assisted cross-sectional imaging method (using magnetic fields, that is, without X-rays)) – on suspicion of neoplasms or tumor diseases.
  • Colonoscopy (colonoscopy) – on suspicion of colon carcinoma (colon cancer).
  • Electrical impedance analysis (measurement of body compartments/body composition) – to determine body fat, extracellular body mass (blood and tissue fluid), body cell mass (muscle and organ mass) and total body water including body mass index (BMI, body mass index) and waist-to-hip ratio (THV).
