Ratanhiae radix – Ratanhia root: Ratanhia root, known as Peru ratanhia, consists of the dried, usually broken, underground organs of Ruiz and Pavon (PhEur). PhEur requires a minimum content of tannins.

Fields of application
- Inflammation of the oral and pharyngeal mucosa.
- Inflammation of the gums, aphthae, stomatitis.
Dosage
- About 1 g of crushed drug to 1 cup of water as a decoction or 5-10 drops of tincture to 1 glass of water 2-3 times daily.
- Undiluted tincture as a brush 2-3 times a day.
- Do not use for more than 2 weeks
