Remedy for inflammation and swelling
Belladonna (see antipyretic) Phytolacca In acute condition: One dissolves 1 tablet or 5 globules in 1 cup of water and gives of it first every 5 minutes a teaspoon (no metal), extends the break to 1⁄2 to 2 hourly, then end. Apis in acute condition: Dissolve 1 tablet or 5 globules in 1 cup of water and give a teaspoon (no metal) every 5 minutes, extend the interval to 1⁄2 until every 2 hours, then stop. Potassium chloratum 1 tablet 3 times a day is a common dosage.
- The neck is dark red, swollen and the stabbing pain radiates to the ears.
- Often the right side hurts more.
- The patient complains of a feeling of exhaustion in all limbs and severe fatigue.
- The need to move does not improve the symptoms.
- Burning, stinging, redness, severe swelling and heat dominate the symptoms of the pharyngeal mucosa.
- Great restlessness, little thirst, stabbing pain, extreme intolerance of heat, aggravation in the afternoon, improvement through cold and in the fresh air.
- The neck is very sensitive and anything restricting (scarf) is felt as unpleasant.
- A remedy for soft lymph node swelling and sore throats.
- Especially when white-grey coating appears especially on the root of the tongue or on the mucous membranes.
- Warmth improves the symptoms.
- Aggravation through exercise and strongly spiced, fatty food.
