Side effects of Paracetamol
Paracetamol very rarely shows undesirable side effects when used responsibly and properly. Nevertheless, side effects can occur, as with any drug. Some side effects can be aggravated by the simultaneous consumption of alcohol.
Paracetamol can cause damage to the liver. The risk is particularly high in people with liver diseases, such as cirrhosis of the liver, and alcoholics. The risk of bleeding may also be increased.
Chronic alcohol consumption also has a negative effect on the risk of bleeding, so that this risk is further increased by an additional intake of paracetamol. Other side effects of paracetamol do not appear to be related to alcohol consumption.
