Sports for chronic sore throat
In case of chronic sore throat, the cause of the disease should be clarified first. In most cases, chronic sore throats are not caused by viral infections or bacterial inflammation, but are often functional complaints. Recurring infections are the second most common reason for chronic sore throat.
Depending on the origin of the disease, sport can be done or a break can be prescribed. In case of chronic sore throat, a doctor should always be consulted first. Once the symptoms of chronic sore throat have been clarified, sport can be started if necessary.
For functional complaints, for example, sport can be continued normally. The exclusion criterion is the individual pain perception of the athlete. In the case of recurrent infections, on the other hand, the disease should first be completely cured before the sports program is resumed.
