Streptococcus: Test and Diagnosis

2nd order laboratory parameters – depending on the results of the medical history, physical examination, etc. – for differential diagnostic clarification

  • Pathogen detection from the infected regions such as skin bacteriology, urine sample or throat swab.
  • Streptococcal antibodies
    • Antistreptolysin O (ASL)
    • Anti-DNAse B (ASNB)
    • Antihyaluronidase
  • Small blood count
  • Inflammatory parameters – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate).
