- Vaginal ultrasonography (ultrasound using an ultrasound probe inserted into the vagina) – to evaluate the endometrium (lining of the uterus), uterus (womb), adnexa (fallopian tubes and ovaries), and pelvis. Differentially important because there are no specific sonographic findings of endometritis.
