What are the chances of cure for papillary carcinoma?
In most cases, papillary carcinomas become noticeable through early symptoms (painless icterus, acute pancreatitis). Good chances of recovery can be achieved by surgical removal of the tumor tissue. After successful removal of the papillary carcinoma, the recurrence rate is relatively low and the majority of patients are considered cured.
