Performance problems can have many different causes and can have just as many different effects on the child’s psyche. It is often very difficult to diagnose performance problems, find out individual causes and “treat” their consequences appropriately. As an accompanying adult, you should therefore always keep in mind that it is certainly even harder for your child and will become even harder if he or she notices that you are voicing reproaches and becoming impatient!
