Behavioral risk factors
- Diet
- Micronutrient deficiency (vital substances) – see Prevention with micronutrients.
- Consumption of stimulants
- Coffee – excessive comsum
- Alcohol (> 20 g/day)
- Psycho-social situation
- Psychological factors – women with neurotic reactions are more prone to premenstrual syndrome.
