- Small blood count
- Differential blood count
- Inflammatory parameter – CRP (C-reactive protein)
- Allergy tests – e.g., epicutaneous test (in this test, a patch is applied to the patient’s skin containing various allergens; after two to three days, the patch can be removed and the test assessed)
- Beta-2 transferrin from rhinorrhea fluid – if CSF fistula is suspected [positive; beta-2 transferrin occurs that almost only in CSF].
