- Abdominal ultrasonography (ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs) – as an obligatory diagnostic test in trauma patients; for diagnosis of anemia (anemia).
- X-ray of the thorax (X-ray thorax / chest), in two planes – as mandatory diagnostics in trauma patients; for suspected pneumonia (pneumonia), pulmonary edema,restrictive and obstructive lung diseases.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG; recording of electrical activity of the heart muscle) – as an obligatory diagnostic in trauma patients; in suspected cardiac defects; sepsis.
- Echocardiography (echo; cardiac ultrasound) – in suspected cardiac defects.
- Computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen (abdominal CT) – as mandatory diagnostics in trauma patients; cranial CT (cCT) in meningitis (meningitis), encephalitis (brain inflammation), traumatic brain injury (TBI).
- Magnetic resonance imaging of the skull (cranial MRI, cranial MRI or cMRI) – for meningitis, encephalitis, traumatic brain injury (TBI).
