This medicine (Calcium fluoratum) is also used as salt.

Application of calcium fluoratum

The active principle of the salts should not be confused with the homeopathic active principle. The latter fights “same with same”, i.e. symptoms with active substances that would also cause these symptoms. Schuessler salts are supposed to compensate for a deficiency of exactly these minerals.

A deficiency of calcium fluoratum is characterised by weaknesses in the connective tissue. Especially the connective tissue can be found as a stabilizing fibre almost everywhere in the body, for example in the locomotor system, as the holding apparatus of the teeth, in the skin and in the walls of the blood vessels. Treatment with calcium fluoratum can therefore help to counteract certain symptoms such as varicose veins and haemorrhoids, loosening teeth and soft or splintering fingernails.

It can also be helpful in cases of stiffening and hardening of the locomotor system. Another area of application is the skin. Here Calcium fluoratum can be used especially for dry and scaly skin as well as hardened warts and nail fungus.

In general, the complaints caused by a deficiency of Calcium fluoratum become worse in winter. This is due to the increased strain on the elasticity of the musculoskeletal system caused by cold and dry heating air. Biochemically, the effect of calcium fluoratum can be explained by the attack on the calcium stores when there is a deficiency of this substance in the body.

Good and rich calcium stores are bones, fingernails and teeth, which are then attacked by the body “out of necessity”. Nevertheless, the many other tissues that would need calcium to function well do not get enough of it and remain weakened. In addition, a psychological effect can be achieved, because the active principle of Schuessler Salts includes, among others, certain personality types that have a high consumption of certain salts.

Applied externally, Calcium fluoratum has a fast effect – when applied internally, e.g. when ingested, the effect is rather slow. In addition, the musculoskeletal system, especially joints, ligaments and tendons, can start to hurt when the therapy is started. Unless there is no other possible cause, this can be traced back to the start of the therapy. Thus, an initial worsening can occur.
