Application / Indications
Bayotensin (mite)® is used for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension (high blood pressure). Bayotensin akut® is used as an acute medication to lower blood pressure in hypertensive emergencies (blood pressure derailment).
Contraindications
Bayotensin®/Nitrendipine must not be taken with: It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation and in children. Very cautious use should be made in patients with cardiac insufficiency. In chronic liver disease the breakdown of nitrendipine may be delayed, so a lower dose should be started (10 mg per day). – previously known hypersensitivity to nitrendipine or other calcium antagonists from the group of dihydropyridines, in
- Cardiovascular shock,
- Acute heart attack (and up to 4 weeks afterwards),
- Unstable angina pectoris
- And low blood pressure (hypotension).
Costs
On a private prescription, 98 tablets of nitrendipine á 10 mg (Bayotensin mite®) cost about 49 euros. 98 tablets of 20 mg nitrendipine (Bayotensin®) cost about 58 euros. If you have a cash prescription, 98 tablets of 10 mg each cost 40 euros and 98 tablets of 20 mg each cost 48 euros.
