Interactions with other drugs

If Levitra® and other drugs are taken at the same time, there may be mutual interference with the drug’s effect. This includes in particular the following drugs:

  • Drugs for angina pectoris (“chest pain”), so-called nitrates or nitric oxide donors (danger of dangerous drop in blood pressure)
  • Erythromycin (antibiotic)
  • Alpha-Blocker (for the treatment of high blood pressure and benign prostate enlargement)
  • Anticoagulants ( blood thinners )

Warnings

Sexual activity can sometimes be dangerous in the presence of heart problems, as it is a physical exertion/exertion. If there is a deformation or disease of the penis, the use of Levitra® can sometimes be dangerous as it can cause uncontrollable swelling. Another complication of taking Levitra® may be a painful permanent erection without sexual arousal (priapism) if sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma or leukemia is present.

Levitra® should also not be taken if there is a stomach ulcer or if the patient suffers from a blood clotting disorder (e.g. hemophilia). Nor is treatment with Levitra® recommended while taking other potency-promoting drugs. Since Levitra® may cause dizziness or deterioration of vision in some people, they should not drive or operate machinery while taking the drug. Children, adolescents under 18 years of age and women must not take the drug under any circumstances!
