Biolectra

Introduction

Biolectra is a group of different drugs from the manufacturer Hermes. The Biolectra preparations on offer are assigned to the group of dietary supplements and contain magnesium or zinc, or a combination of active ingredients from different dietary supplements, depending on the product line. The preparations are available both as capsules and in the form of effervescent tablets or micro-pellets.

The recommended daily dosage varies according to the requirements of the respective active ingredient. Taking Biolectra can help to compensate for an insufficiently covered need of the body for certain substances. However, it should be noted that Biolectra is a food supplement and therefore cannot replace a balanced diet, but only supports it.

When should Biolectra be taken?

There are a number of different indications for the use of certain Biolectra preparations. Especially when symptoms occur which indicate a magnesium or zinc deficiency, the intake of these food supplements should be considered. In the case of a magnesium deficiency it can lead to increased susceptibility to stress, muscle cramps, increased tiredness, headaches, constipation, confusion, palpitations or circulatory problems.

A zinc deficiency is typically accompanied by concentration disorders, hair loss, depression, weight loss, increased susceptibility to infections and taste disorders. Other unspecific symptoms of a magnesium or zinc deficiency can also occur. The reasons for the occurrence of these substance deficiencies are usually very different.

One-sided or insufficient nutrition often leads to these deficiency symptoms. Increased consumption due to sporting activities, as well as stress or pregnancy are further possible causes that can lead to zinc and magnesium deficiency. Excessive consumption of alcohol is also frequently involved in these substance deficiencies.

When should Biolectra not be taken?

There are some contraindications which must be observed before Biolectra preparations can be taken. For example, the intake of magnesium is contraindicated in cases of kidney dysfunction and cardiac arrhythmia as well as in cases of massive dehydration (lack of water in the body) and is therefore not recommended in these cases. Preparations containing the active ingredient zinc should also not be taken in cases of kidney dysfunction.

Taking zinc over a longer period of time can lead to a loss of copper in the body, which is why a doctor should be consulted in advance if you plan to take zinc over a longer period of time. Biolectra supplements should also not be taken if symptoms of overdose occur. Diarrhea, digestive problems, skin rashes, and a metallic taste in the mouth may be signs of overdose.

Mode of action of Biolectra

All Biolectra preparations containing zinc or magnesium are taken orally (through the mouth) and then absorbed into the blood in the gastrointestinal tract via the intestinal wall. Magnesium and zinc take over numerous important tasks in the body. Above all, magnesium influences the correct functioning of the muscles and numerous enzymes in the body and is also essential for cell functions in the body. Zinc is a component of many enzymes and is essential for the correct growth of cells and thus for skin, hair and nails as well as for the healing of wounds. Zinc also plays an important role in sexual processes in the body and has a positive effect on the immune system.
