Radiatio can be used as the sole treatment for bone tumors or in combination with tumor resection (surgical removal of the tumor). Radiatio is used for the following bone tumors:
- Ewing’s sarcoma (primary malignant/malignant).
- Plasmocytoma (primary malignant)
- Osteosarcoma – palliative (without curative approach) (primary malignant).
- Bone metastases – palliative → analgesic and recalcifying (secondary malignant).
