The anamnesis (medical history) represents an important component in the diagnosis of color vision disorders.

Family history

  • Are there any disorders of the eyes in your family that are common?
  • Are there any hereditary diseases in your family?

Social history

  • What is your profession?
  • Are you exposed to harmful working substances in your profession?

Current medical history/systemic medical history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What symptoms have you noticed?
  • What are the manifestations of color vision deficiency?
  • Did the disturbance occur suddenly?
  • How long has the color vision disturbance been present?

Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis

Own anamnesis incl. medication anamnesis

  • Pre-existing conditions (eye diseases, neurological diseases).
  • Surgeries (eye surgeries, central nervous system surgeries).
  • Radiotherapy
