Structure and properties

Diflunisal (C₁₃H₈F₂O₃, M_r = 250.2 g/mol) is a derivative of salicylic acid. It exists as a white crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water.

Effects

Diflunisal (ATC N02BA11) is analgesic, antipyretic, and anti-inflammatory.

Indications

Pain, inflammatory conditions, and fever.
