  • Functional disorders of the sex glands (ovaries, testicles)
  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Obesity (adiposity)
  • osteoporosis
  • Fat metabolism disorders (such as increased cholesterol levels)
  • Benign and malignant hormone-producing tumors

Important examination methods for endocrinological diseases include the determination of hormone concentrations in the blood and urine as well as imaging procedures such as ultrasound, computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
