Face Masks

Face masks (masks) are used for general skin health. However, they can also be used for specific skin conditions, for example, to treat hyperpigmentation.

There are face masks that have a firming and smoothing effect. Signs of fatigue disappear. Small wrinkles are softened. There are so-called peel-off masks, which form an elastic film on the skin when drying, which is then peeled off together with the horny scales.

The ingredients of non-pre-made face masks are warm oil and paraffin. Prefabricated face masks usually contain clay with a thicker consistency, furthermore a cream to prevent drying of the skin and an agent for exfoliation. If the face mask is intended for a specific application, it contains other additives.

After the treatment, the face mask is removed with the help of a damp cloth or by rinsing.

Which face mask for which skin type?

A moisturizing mask is recommended for dry skin and for sensitive skin. It adds moisture to the skin and improves tone. The skin becomes soft and supple.

For oily and combination skin, a cleansing mask is recommended, which absorbs excess sebum and counteracts impurities. The skin becomes smoother and finer pored.

Note: For combination skin, the cleansing mask should be applied only to the oily T-zone (forehead, nose, chin).

How often should face masks be applied?

You can apply face masks once or twice a week after cleansing and exfoliation, if any. The subsequently applied care products then develop their effect particularly well.
