- Abdominal ultrasonography (ultrasound examination of abdominal organs) – for suspected perihepatitis, adnexitis (ovarian inflammation) or abscesses in the abdomen.
- Echocardiography (echo; cardiac ultrasound) – when endocarditis (endocarditis) is suspected.
- Computed tomography of the skull (cranial CT, cranial CT or cCT) – especially when meningitis (meningitis) is suspected.
- Magnetic resonance imaging of the skull (cranial MRI, cranial MRI or cMRI) – if meningitis is suspected.
