Home remedies for periodontosis treatment
As with many diseases, there are also various home remedies for the treatment of periodontosis. These include hydrogen peroxide, for example. It is considered a strong antibacterial agent, which can be used as a mouthwash in a dilution with water (1:2) in the morning and evening.
It is very important not to swallow the rinse and then rinse the mouth with water. Furthermore, baking powder is a well-known household remedy for fighting bacteria under the gums. The baking powder is mixed with water to a paste and applied to the gums with a finger.
After 10 minutes the mouth can be rinsed out. Green tea, an oil cure or clove oil are also suitable for alternative periodontal treatment.Salt water, lemon juice or tea tree oil are also recommended in the natural treatment of periodontosis. Overall, however, it is very important to know that the use of home remedies alone cannot replace periodontal therapy at the dentist. They can, however, be a useful supplement.
Homeopathy
Periodontal disease can only be completely cured if it is detected at an early stage. In all other cases, we try to minimize the progression of the pathological condition and ensure the preservation of the tooth. It is not possible to restore a broken jawbone or missing connective tissue fibres of the periodontium.
Homeopathic treatment can support the healing or reduction of the pathological condition. Single homeopathic remedies such as Arnica or complex homeopathic remedies such as Aqua silicata complex Nestmann can be used. Furthermore, organ preparations are used, which are produced in different potentiations and adapted according to the intensity of the inflammatory state.
Finally, the well-known Schüßler salts are used in homeopathy for the accompanying treatment of periodontosis. Here, especially the Schuessler salts No. 2, No.
11 and No. 3 are used. In general, one should consult a homeopath for advice on the use of homeopathic medicines.
Accompanying therapy with the help of an oil cure
A well-known and very effective concomitant therapy to periodontal disease treatment is the application of an oil cure. It is applied over several weeks and has already shown some success in the treatment of inflamed tonsils, sinusitis and mucosal diseases. Prosthesis wearers should remove them before the morning oil treatment.
When applying the cure, take one tablespoon of cold-pressed sunflower oil in the morning on an empty stomach. This oil is pulled through the teeth several times and left in the mouth for 10-15 minutes. It should remain in the mouth almost constantly in motion.
In the meantime, we recommend short breaks to allow the oil to take effect. The yellow oil then emulsifies to a white liquid, which should be spat out afterwards. This is best done in a paper towel, which can then be disposed of in the trash.
To remove the taste a little, the mouth can be rinsed with lukewarm water after the treatment. In the early stages, periodontal disease can be cured. However, the oil treatment described above is not sufficient on its own. It is to be used exclusively as an accompanying therapy.
