Homeopathy/Globules

A basic principle of homeopathy is that one always treats only symptoms. Therefore, strictly speaking, homeopathic therapy can never be used as a prophylaxis. Nevertheless, especially the substances thuja and silicea are in circulation as prevention of vaccination reactions.

If side effects occur after a vaccination, there are some remedies that are used in homeopathy to treat them. In case of high fever and a strong restlessness as a result of a vaccination, the administration of Aconitum is common. If thirstlessness and sweaty skin are added to these symptoms, one would rather tend to the administration of Belladonna. Other remedies used in the homeopathic treatment of the vaccination episodes are hepar sulfate, Rhus tox, mercur and sulfur.

Vaccination opponents

Opponents of vaccination claim that this is the “natural” and “nature intended way”, but it should be noted that vaccinations are much less dangerous than contracting the disease and cause fewer complications than the disease itself. There are some naturopaths and alternative practitioners who claim to be able to prevent diseases by natural means. However, it must be noted that this has not been scientifically proven.

They offer no protection and are therefore not to be considered as an alternative. Vaccination opponents also state that babies at the age of two months are too young to be vaccinated, but studies show that the vaccinations are also well tolerated at an early age. Also the combination substances of up to 6 combinations do not show an increased complication rate. Further information is available at: Should I have my baby vaccinated?
