HydraFacial

HydraFacialTM is a method of aesthetic medicine or dermatology for skin renewal or rejuvenation (“skin rejuvenation”) and is one of the most modern methods in this field.

The treatment uses the multifunctional and patented Vortex technology, a hydradermabrasion procedure. The special feature is that skin removal (dermabrasion), peeling and cleansing are combined via a small vortex, while at the same time micronutrients (vital substances) such as antioxidants, vitamins and minerals as well as hyaluronic acid are introduced (hydration, i.e. accumulation of water molecules by dermal infusion/infusion of the skin). The HydraFacialTM method has thus intelligently combined various proven treatment procedures (4-in-1 system). The method is non-invasive and painless. It is suitable for any skin type and color.

Before treatment

Before the start of treatment should be an educational and counseling discussion between the doctor and the patient. The content of the conversation should be the goals, expectations and the possibilities of treatment, as well as side effects and risks.

Before treatment, the patient should gently cleanse the skin with soap and water to remove makeup or other care products. Furthermore, an anamnesis (medical history) should be taken to exclude previous diseases and allergies.

The procedure

The treatment proceeds in four steps:

  1. Microdermabrasion (skin removal) – surface cleaning and gentle removal of dead skin scales and horny skin areas of the uppermost layer of the epidermis (stratum corneum) using vortex attachment edges.
  2. GlySalTM acid peeling – deposits in the pores are softened (in preparation for deep facial cleansing).
  3. Deep cleansing – the Vortex attachment sucks impurities and dissolved sebum deposits from the pores by means of a vacuum.
  4. Hydration (dermal infusion) – micronutrients such as antioxidants (protect against free radical skin damage), vitamins and minerals, and hyaluronic acid are infused into the skin through the patented Vortex attachment. The molecules of hyaluronic acid support regenerative processes of the connective tissue. Hyaluronic acid relines and tightens the skin and improves the skin contour. In addition to hyaluronic acid, other antioxidant and moisturizing skin-specific serums can be used.

In addition, lymphatic drainage and light therapy can be used.

Treatment usually lasts between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on individual patient needs. For visible success, even a few treatments are enough. To achieve lasting results, treatments should be performed regularly (monthly). How often depends on the indication.

After the treatment

After the treatment, a slight erythema (redness of the skin) may occur and the skin may be a little taut. To avoid complicating healing, a high level of sun protection is very important. Furthermore, the patient should avoid extensive sunbathing, solarium visits, and sauna sessions for approximately two weeks after treatment.
