Ibuflam for pain relief

This active ingredient is in Ibuflam

Ibuflam contains ibuprofen, an active ingredient from the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). This drug relieves pain by inhibiting the formation of tissue hormones (so-called prostaglandins) that trigger inflammation, fever and pain.

Ibuflam also influences the temperature regulation center of the brain and has an antipyretic effect. The excipients of the medication facilitate the absorption of the active substance into the body.

When is Ibuflam used?

The medicine helps with mild to moderately severe pain, particularly headaches and toothache, but also with menstrual pain, osteoarthritis and gout. The anti-inflammatory effect of Ibuflam also supports the healing of inflammatory rheumatic diseases and other chronic inflammations (such as inflammation of the optic nerve). The medicine can also be used to treat fever.

What side effects does Ibuflam have?

Despite its generally good tolerability, Ibuflam can cause side effects.

Occasionally, gastrointestinal complaints such as heartburn, abdominal pain and nausea occur when using the medicine. Hypersensitivity reactions with skin rashes are also possible. Furthermore, asthma attacks may occasionally occur.

Very rarely, gastrointestinal ulcers or liver and kidney damage may occur with long-term use.

If you experience severe or unmentioned side effects, please consult your doctor.
