In the waist area
Pain in the waist area usually comes from the abdomen. Often the cause lies in the area of the digestive tract. General illnesses such as a gastrointestinal infection usually present themselves with pain that is not limited to the right side of the body.
If only the right side of the body is affected, a special focus should be placed on the organs located there. Possible problems can be in the liver or the gall bladder. Appendicitis may also be a possible cause. Possibly the kidney on the right side is also affected.
Jaw Pain
Jaw pains mostly come from the teeth. Since their roots extend deep into the jaw, they can also cause problems there. Furthermore, jaw pain due to tension or even psychological tension and stress are possible.
This often causes subconscious tension in the jaw muscles, which is why pain is eventually experienced. People who grind their teeth at night can also develop jaw pain. For them, the pain also comes from the muscles.
There are lymph nodes under the lower jaw, which can swell up painfully when infected. In addition, jaw pain can be caused by nerve irritation. Trigeminal neuralgia is particularly painful.
When coughing
Pain on the right side of the body, which occurs when coughing, is usually caused by the pressure the body builds up to do so. If there are injuries (bruises, etc) to the ribs, the coughing causes pain at the affected area. Pain in the abdomen or groin is also typical.
If there are problems in the utility room, especially in the area of the intestine, such as a blockage or twisting of the intestine, the pain is intensified by the coughing, as this suddenly creates a high pressure. This pressure can also push the intestine through a weak point in the tissue into the inguinal canal. This results in a so-called hernia.
After alcohol
The liver is typically particularly affected by alcohol. The liver is responsible for processing nutrients in our body. It metabolises almost everything we consume.
In the process, valuable substances are collected and transported to different parts of the body. Waste products are transported by the liver mainly in the direction of the bile and thus removed from the body. If alcohol consumption is too high, the liver in particular is affected.
A fatty liver (cirrhosis of the liver) develops. This means that the liver tissue is increasingly converted into fatty tissue. On the one hand, this means that the liver is less able to perform its usual tasks and, on the other hand, the tissue expands and pulls on the capsule surrounding the liver. This causes pain that is located directly under the right costal arch.
