Therapeutic targets

  • Improvement of the symptomatology
  • If necessary, elimination of the pathogens

Therapy recommendations

  • Symptomatic therapy: analgesics or anti-inflammatory drugs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, NSAIDs), e.g. ibuprofen.
  • Antibiotics are used in a bacterial infections initially and according to resistance spectrum.
  • In other forms of arthritis, the underlying disease is treated
