Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of influenza (flu).

Family history

Social history

  • What is your profession?
  • When and where were you last on vacation?
  • Do you have much contact with people?
  • Do you have much contact with poultry?

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Do you feel ill? Worn out or tired?
  • Do you have headaches or aching limbs?
  • Do you suffer from fever? If so, for how long and what is your body temperature?
  • Do you have a sore throat and / or hoarseness?
  • Do you have a cough? Sputum?
  • Do you have nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea?
  • Do you have shortness of breath?*

Vegetative anamnesis incl. nutritional anamnesis.

  • Are you pregnant?
  • Do you suffer from loss of appetite?
  • Do you smoke? If yes, how many cigarettes, cigars or pipes per day?

Self history including medication history.
