Interactions
If blood thinners (anticoagulants), such as aspirin or Marcumar, are administered at the same time, the effect may be intensified. In the case of oral contraceptives combined with tazobactam (Tazobac®), the effectiveness of the “pill” may be reduced. When combined with drugs from the muscle relaxant group, an increased effect can result with muscle blockage and weakness in walking and standing.
Contraindications
Tazobactam should not be given if you are allergic to penicillin. Pregnant women and breastfeeding patients should only be treated with Tazobac® after precise indication.
