Is appendicitis contagious?
Appendicitis is not contagious. The bacterial inflammation in the appendix can be caused by a laying with excrement stones or foreign bodies, such as fruit stones, as well as by kinking or pressure from outside. However, the infection is limited to the appendix and cannot be transmitted from person to person.
