Mastopathy: Medical History

The medical history (history of the patient) represents an important component in the diagnosis of mastopathy.

Family history

  • Is there a history of frequent breast disease in your family?

Social anamnesis

Current medical history/systemic history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • Have you noticed any lumps in the breast?
  • Do you experience any pain in the breast? If yes, when does the pain occur in relation to the cycle?
  • Where exactly is the pain localized?
  • Have you noticed any fluid discharge from the nipple?

Vegetative anamnesis including nutritional anamnesis.

  • When was your last menstrual period (period)?
  • Is your menstrual period regular?

Self history including medication history.

  • Previous diseases (breast diseases; hormonal diseases).

  • Allergies
  • Medication history
