- X-ray of the chest (X-ray thorax/chest), in two planes – if pneumonia (pneumonia) is suspected.
- Electrocardiogram (ECG; recording of the electrical activity of the heart muscle) – if cardiac involvement is suspected.
- Echocardiography (echo; cardiac ultrasound) – if cardiac involvement is suspected.
- Abdominal sonography (ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs) – if pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) is suspected.
- Computed tomography of the skull (cranial CT, cranial CT or cCT) – if brain involvement is suspected.
