Prolonged or frequent exposure to noise causes stress for the body. This can often manifest itself in physical symptoms. In addition, noise can also lead to psychological stress, as it can be a great burden. This can lead to problems sleeping, recurring nervousness and various types of headaches. Noise can also be the trigger of a migraine attack, for example, and should therefore be avoided if at all possible if you are sensitive to it.

Poor air

Bad air can also be a trigger for headaches. Often the lack of ventilation is the cause, to which many people react sensitively and can develop headaches. But also various pollutants, such as tobacco smoke or fragrances, can promote headaches. Also in rooms where many people stay for a long time, some people can develop headaches. The reason for this is the accumulation of carbon dioxide, also known as CO2, which is released into the air during exhalation and can also provoke headaches.

Tensions

Tension in the muscles can cause pain. This is the case in various parts of the body, such as the joints, as well as in the neck and shoulders. Here the tense muscles can promote the development of headaches.

This is additionally promoted by stress or overexertion. The so-called tension headaches, which are usually attributed to tension in the muscles, should be distinguished from this. In the meantime, however, it has been largely proven that it is not the tension but a disturbance in the perception of pain that is the cause.

Hormone Fluctuations

The regulation of hormones in the body is a very complex process that can often lead to fluctuations. Many diseases, such as hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, lead to changes in hormones. This can have an effect on the sensitivity to pain.

Hormone fluctuations during menstruation can also lead to headaches. This is often caused by an imbalance between the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Some women also complain of headaches while taking the pill, as this can also lead to changes in hormone levels.
