Diagnostic laparoscopy (laparoscopy) for:
- Suspected endometriosis – presence of endometrium (lining of the uterus) outside the uterus, for example, in or on the ovaries (ovaries), tubes (fallopian tubes), urinary bladder, or bowel
- Suspected adhesions (adhesions) after abdominal surgery (abdominal surgery).
- To clarify recurrent (recurring) or chronic lower abdominal complaints, the diagnosis of which cannot be clearly established by non-invasive methods such as sonography (ultrasound), computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Depending on the underlying cause, more extensive surgery may be indicated (indicated).
