Prognosis | Healing chances of the lymph gland cancer

Prognosis

Lymph gland cancer is one of the cancers that is usually associated with a good prognosis. Especially if it is discovered early, the chances of a complete cure are good. Even in more advanced stages or when a relapse occurs, a cure is sometimes possible.

In oncology, the terms complete cure are very rarely used and prognostic statements are more likely to be given with a 5-year survival probability. If lymph gland cancer is detected at an early stage and treatment is started immediately, up to 90% of patients survive 5 years after diagnosis. At very advanced stages, especially if metastases have already spread to other parts of the body, the chances of survival drop to below 80%.
