Prognosis | Neurodermatitis in the baby

Prognosis

In one third of all children the disease disappears completely by the age of 6, some studies even speak of 50%. In general it can be said that if some guidelines are followed, such as the use of moisturizing creams, neurodermatitis is a disease that is easy to live with. Often in adulthood the symptoms only occur intermittently under stress. Although neurodermatitis is a disease for which there is no therapy, the prognosis in babies is good as long as the symptoms are treated and the baby is not exposed to further allergens.
