Prognosis
Altogether the prognosis of the Tendovaginitis de Quervain is good, as long as no other disease is the cause for the occurrence (e.g. rheumatic disease). After the operation, the typical electrifying pain when bending the wrist usually disappears immediately. The radiating pain improves over the course of the days. After about one year, the scar has finally reached its final state.
