PROGRESS | Lifting nodules

PROGRESS

Lifting nodules are a sign of an already existing disease of the finger end joints. They usually only occur when the joints have already been damaged by arthrotic – i.e. wear-related – changes. A complete cure of the arthrosis is therefore no longer possible in most cases – especially because there are no drugs yet that can reliably treat the cause of the disease.

However, depending on the severity of the disease and the therapy of the affected fingers, the course of the arthritis can be positively influenced. Thus, the symptoms will usually worsen in the long term, but progression of the disease can be delayed for several years.
