Psoriasis is usually diagnosed on the basis of the patient’s history and physical examination findings.
Second-order laboratory parameters-depending on the results of the history, physical examination, etc.-for differential diagnostic clarification include
- Small blood count
- Fasting glucose (fasting blood glucose)
- Rheumatism diagnostics – CRP (C-reactive protein) or ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate); rheumatoid factor (RF), CCP-AK (cyclic citrulline peptide antibodies), ANA (antinuclear antibodies).
- Biopsy (tissue sample) for histological examination.
