Radiation into the stomach
Lesions in the area of the thoracic spine can cause complaints that radiate into the stomach area. However, stomach complaints, such as ulcers, can also cause discomfort that radiates to the area of the thoracic spine, leading to the mistaken belief that the cause of the complaints must be sought in the area of the spine. For this reason, it should be remembered that the cause of complaints in the area of the spinal column can also lie in internal organs such as the stomach, pancreas, gall bladder or heart and that, on the other hand, complaints of the internal organs can be partly caused by a disorder in the area of the spinal column.
