Rapid Progressive Glomerulonephritis: Symptoms, Complaints, Signs

The following symptoms and complaints may indicate rapid (rapidly) progressive glomerulonephritis:

Leading symptoms

  • Macrohematuria (microscopic visible blood in the urine).
  • Proteinuria (increased excretion of protein in the urine).
  • Oliguria (< 500 ml of urine / day).
  • Hemoptysis (coughing up blood)
  • Arthralgia (joint pain)
  • Myalgia (muscle pain)
  • Skin lesions
  • Fever

Symptoms of rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis can be very nonspecific and result in a severe feeling of illness.
