Sequence of teeth | Teething in the baby

Sequence of teeth

At an age of about six months (between the 5th and 8th month of life) babies start teething on average. At first the middle lower incisors usually break through. Between the 8th and 10th month of life the middle upper incisors usually follow.

The upper and lower lateral incisors appear in most cases between the 10th and 14th month of life. They are followed by the front molars between the 14th and 18th month of life. Often the canines in the upper and lower jaws emerge before the rear upper and lower molars appear between the 24th and 30th month of life.
