The Swedish Diet

1st breakfast

  • 2 cups of coffee with 10 g cream and 10 g milk
  • 50 g strictly low-protein damson bread (health food store)
  • 40 g low protein bread (health food store)
  • 20 g margarine, 20 g jam
  • 15 g vegetarian spread (health food store)
  • 50 g tomato

2nd breakfast

  • 300 g fresh apple

Lunch

  • Potato soup with sausages 180 g potatoes 50 g leek 100 g carrots 30 g celery 500 ml water, marjoram, parsley 20 g vegetable oil 30 g Vienna sausages
  • Orange cream 100 ml orange juice 50 ml water 10 g sugar 10 g corn starch 20 g cream (30% fat)

Snack

  • 2 cups of tea 10 g sugar
  • Filled puff pastry pouch 30 g puff pastry (frozen product) 20 g grated apple 10 g raisins, almond slivers and powdered sugar for sprinkling

Dinner

  • 2 cups herbal tea 10 g sugar
  • Pizza dough 100 g low-protein damson flour (health food store) 5 g yeast 5 g vegetable oil 75 ml water
  • Pizza topping 50 g onion 10 g butter 100 g canned tomatoes 10 g salami 50 g bell pepper strips 20 g green olives 20 g grated butter cheese (50 % fat in dry matter), 20 g olive oil, pepper, oregano

Late meal

This daily example does not take potassium restrictions into account. As soon as this becomes necessary, potassium reduced recipes, low potassium food and a special kitchen technique (watering, pouring off cooking water) must be used.
