Medical history (history of illness) represents an important component in the diagnosis of exanthema subitum (three-day fever).

Social anamnesis

Current medical history/systemic medical history (somatic and psychological complaints).

  • What symptoms have you noticed?
  • Is there a fever present? If so, how long has it been and how high is it?
  • Are there other signs of a cold such as cough or cold?
  • Have you noticed any lymph node enlargement?
  • Have you noticed any skin changes? If so, what do they look like and where are they located? How long have these skin changes existed?
  • Do you feel exhausted, lethargic?
